New Delhi – March 20, 2017 –  Today at JoyIVF main centre in New Delhi, Senior Specialist and Founder Dr. Sangeeta Jain discussed the impact of diabetes in delaying and hampering fertility.

Focus areas on the discussion included the role of undiagnosed diabetes in fertility issues. Discussion also included types of diabetes, microvascular and cardiovascular complications of diabetes, impact on size of babies and metabolic effects on babies born to diabetic mothers. The issue of reduced fertility in men and women with Type 1 diabetes was discussed. The risks during pregnancy of women with Type 2 diabetes was shared.

Dr. Jain also elaborated on the steps that need to be taken to control diabetes before and during pregnancy.

Dr. Sangeeta has had a brilliant career run with gold medals in academics and is practicing successfully from the past many years. After completing her MBBS and post-graduation in Obestrics and Gynaecology from King George’s Medical College, Lucknow, she has been training with distinguished experts like Dr. R. Rajan and Dr. B. N.Chakravarty – the pioneers of India’s first test tube baby at Institute of Reproductive Medicine.
